Referral Program Terms

1. Program Overview

The Skavinski Referral Program allows active subscribers to share a unique referral link with others. When a new user signs up and subscribes using a referral link, both parties receive a monthly subscription discount.

2. Eligibility

• Referrers must have an active Skavinski subscription.
• Referees (new users) must be new to Skavinski and subscribe to a paid plan.
• Each person may only be referred once. You cannot change your referrer after claiming a code.

3. How Discounts Work

• The referee (new subscriber) receives a monthly discount on their subscription.
• The referrer (existing subscriber) receives a monthly discount for each active referral. Discounts from multiple referrals stack.
• Discounts are applied as Stripe coupons on your subscription and reflected on your next invoice.
• Discounts start immediately. Your referral discount is applied from your very first month.
• Total discounts are capped at your plan's monthly price. Your subscription will never go below $0.

4. When Discounts End

• If a referee cancels their subscription, the referrer loses the per-referral discount for that specific person.
• If a referee's payment fails, both parties' discounts are recalculated.
• If a referee resubscribes, discounts are automatically reinstated for both parties.
• If the referrer cancels their own subscription, their code remains valid and referees keep their discounts. If the referrer resubscribes, their stacked discount is reinstated.

5. Referral Codes

• Each subscriber receives one unique referral code.
• Codes are non-transferable and have no cash value.
• Codes remain active as long as the referrer's account exists.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are prohibited and may result in forfeiture of all referral discounts and suspension of your referral code:

• Self-referral (using your own code to create a second account).
• Creating fake or fraudulent accounts to generate referral discounts.
• Circular referrals (two users referring each other).
• Any automated, scripted, or bot-driven referral activity.
• Misrepresenting the program or Skavinski's services when sharing your referral link.

7. FTC Disclosure Guidance

If you share your referral link publicly (social media, blog posts, forums, etc.), you should disclose that you receive a subscription discount when people sign up through your link. A simple disclosure such as "I get a discount if you sign up through my link" is sufficient. This is a legal requirement under FTC guidelines for endorsements.

8. Tax Responsibility

Referral discounts reduce your subscription cost. Depending on your jurisdiction, the value of referral benefits may be considered taxable. You are solely responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax obligations related to referral program benefits. Skavinski does not provide tax advice.

9. Privacy

When you participate in the referral program, we collect and store the referral relationship (who referred whom), referral code, and discount status. We do not share the identity of referees with referrers, or vice versa. Referral data is subject to our Privacy Policy.

10. Program Modifications

Skavinski reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time, with or without notice. Changes may include adjusting discount amounts, modifying eligibility criteria, or ending the program entirely. Any changes will apply to future referrals; existing active discounts will be honored through the current billing cycle.

11. Refunds and Chargebacks

Referral credits are tied to the underlying paid subscription. If a subscription associated with a referral credit is refunded, reversed, or successfully charged back, the corresponding referral credit may be reversed at our sole discretion, and any dependent stacked discount may be recalculated. The Referral Program is subject to the refund and payment terms set out in our Terms of Service.
